AIA Dedicated to High Standards in Professional Practice

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization that helps architects serve the public's needs while building awareness of the role architects and architecture play in American society.

AIA members adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct that assures clients, the public and colleagues of their dedication to high standards of professional pactice.

The Idaho Chapter was founded in 1951 and currently represents over 300 licensed architects and associated professionals. The chapter's headquarters are located in Boise with four local sections statewide.

Data Collected for 2004 shows that the Design and Construction Industry in Idaho is responsible for 9.2% of the state's $41.1 billion gross state product.  Of the 571.5 thousand people employed in Idaho, 7.3% work in the design and construction fields.   There are 481 architects living in the state and 1,531 licensed to practice in Idaho.  Recent significant construction projects in the state include:
